SEB ‘Bribery’ – 33 Village Chiefs Urged To Make Police Reports

Posted: 08 Jan 2014 09:43 AM PST

After the news on Monday exposing payments by Sarawak Energy to natives in Baram, Radio Free Sarawak interviews the village Chief James Nyurang Usang from Kampung Lepo Gah Tanjung Tepalit, Baram. He calls on all of the village chiefs and the church leaders in the region who received the money to follow the example of those who have already made police reports alleging bribery.
He asks why is it that Sarawak Energy was so very kind to just distribute this money only to 33 villages in the Baram parliamentary region and why not in the others area such as to Penan of Murum? Natives believe SEB are trying to buy support for their dam project in the area.
And we continue to be the only news station to explore the growing rumours that Chief Minister Taib Mahmud is stepping down. We bring you a variety of views and information on the top unfolding story that no one else dares to cover in Sarawak.
