| SUPP Piasau and Bekenu branches deregistered Posted: 09 Jan 2014 06:11 AM PST Posted on January 9, 2014, Thursday KUCHING: SUPP secretary-general Prof Dr Sim Kui Hian confirmed the receipts of a show-cause letter to the party central leadership and two letters to deregister Bekenu and Piasau branches from the Registrar of Societies (ROS). The show-cause letter dated Jan 6 was issued under Section 13(2) of the Societies Act 1966 which requires the party to submit to ROS Kuala Lumpur why SUPP should not be deregistered. The ROS decided to cancel the registration of Bekenu and Piasau branches with effect from the date that the said letters were issued by ROS Kuala Lumpur which is January 6.
