Danau Melikin activist released without bail!

More than 100 people from Danau Melikin celebrated the release of local activist Michael Luang as he returned home today. We speak to local village chief Nyalu Tampa who accuses the police of being bias and unprofessional in handling the case. We speak to an anonymous insider regarding illegal logging in the Baram area who comments on the latest Sarawak Report expose that revealed how Forestry Officers are often bribed to write false reports from hotels in Kota Kinabalu. Kegembiraan dan keceriaan lebih 100 orang penduduk kampung Danau Melikin menyambut pembebasan activis dan hero mereka iaitu Michael Luang dilepaskan hari ini daripada tuduhan menyebabkan kematian seorang samseng yang berkerja dengan syarikat perladangan kelapa sawit pada minggu lepas. Mereka menuduh dan mengecam tindakan pihak polis yang berat sebelah dan tidak profesional dalam menangani kes tersebut, menurut Tuai Rumah Nyalu Tampa semasa ditemuramah hari ini. Kita mendedahkan lebih banyak lagi kegiatan pembalakan haram di kawasan Baram hasil sumbangan dan risikan dari pihak dalaman Jabatan Hutan Sarawak didedahkan kepada Radio Free Sarawak hari ini. Selanjutnya susulan temuramah kami bersama dengan Datin Paduka Marina Mahatir Pengasas Sister In Islam yang memberi pandangan berkenaan peranan badan bukan kerajaan yang di ketuai beliau.
