Lets pray for religious freedom – Iban Christian Posted: 13 Dec 2013 02:53 AM PST More than 10,000 Iban Christians in Malaysia expected to gather in Kuching this week where they will remind Putrajaya to respect the Malaysia Agreement with Sabah and Sarawak, especially on the point of religious freedom and some 20 churches and denominations have confirmed participation in this year's event according to Pastor Gereman, one of the event organizer. Posted: 12 Dec 2013 06:43 AM PST Following on from yesterday's breaking news about the Penans' tenacity to not give in so easily to SEB, we bring you yet more disturbing news from the 'new' resettlement at Mentalun. Apparently, some sort of an epidemic had broken out affecting the children who complain of stomach pain, are vomiting and having diarrhea. According to the nedws revealed to us, the cause of this unknown epidemic stems from the polluted water that they are drinking, despite being boiled first. Some of the parents have sought treatment for their children at Sg. Asap Resettlement Skim Clinic, about a hundred kilometers away. RFS asks SEB, on behalf of the Penans at Murum, "Where is the promised clinic and the medical staff to care for these displaced First Nation people?" Berikutan daripada pendedahan berita semalam, hari ini Gereng Jadum berkongsikan satu lagi berita yang mengejutkan dan menyayat hati daripada kaum Penan di Penempatan Semula Mentalun mendakwa beberapa orang anak mereka telah sakit, mereka mengadu mengalami sakit perut, muntah-muntah dan cirit-birit. Menurut mereka punca penyakit ini adalah dari air yang tercemar dan kotor yang mereka minum walaupun dimasak. Sebahagian daripada mereka telah mendapatkan rawatan di Klinik, Skim Penempatan Semula Sg. Asap hampir ratusan kilometer jauhnya.
