During a press conference yesterday, TelBru's Chief Marketing Officer Lim Ming Soon announced that the company is set to introduce new rates for its voice services slated to come into effect from January 1 next year, easing the pockets of its over 66,000 landline subscribers nationwide. From January 1 onwards, TelBru customers who make district as well as inter-district local landline or fixed line calls will be charged a flat rate of just $0.03 per minute. In the past, the charges were 20 cents per minute during peak hours (6am to 7pm) and 10 cents per minute during off-peak hours (7pm to 6am). Furthermore, with TelBru's migration from the traditional analogue switching to digital as well as an upgrade to its transmission network to cater to higher traffic, these new rates will ensure "customers will also be able to maximise better connection and quality of voice services", when they make landline calls. Meanwhile, mobile calls to DST and B.Mobile lines remain unchanged at existing standard rates of $0.10 during off-peak hours and $0.20 during peak hours, including calls made with IDD and 098.
