MPOB told not to discriminate against smallholders!

Screen Shot 2014-08-22 at 13.31.37Fresh from yesterday's 200 strong protest against the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) we catch up with Nicholas Mujah, from the Sarawak Dayak Iban Association (SADIA) and politician Nicholas Bawin.  Both discuss the recent directive by the MPOB that they will reject fresh fruit bunches from smallholders in Kampong Lebor, Melikin, Pantu and Simunjan. Both urge the MPOB to stop discriminating against smallholders, stop siding with crony companies and to respect the rights of the farmers. Nicholas Mujah says SADIA will continue to protest the issue and will inform the international community. 

PKR's Roland Engan announces that PKR in Baram will hold a peaceful protest at the Baram Regatta as they believe the event is being used by the government to garner public support for the proposed Baram dam.

And lastly, we bring you a special report on indigenous communities in Latin America that are fighting against hydropower projects on their own native lands.

Nicholas Mujah dan Nicholas Bawin Bersama-sama dalam perjalanan ke Tanjung Manis Untuk satu Lagi Kes NCR. Mereka berdua berkongsikan pengalaman berdemonstrasi bersama penduduk di Serian semalam. Dan meminta MPOB menghentikan tindakan menganiaya pekebun kecil, Jika tidak siri demonstrasi yang lebih besar akan berulang lagi.

Roland Engan berkata PKR Baram akan Boycott Baram Regatta kerana dicemari unsur-unsur politik dan pujukan untuk bersetuju dengan Pembinaan empangan Baram.

Akhirnya, biar kita mendengar suara rakyat komen tentang hydro projek di Latin America yang dibina oleh AIDA.
