Posted: 09 Dec 2013 02:55 AM PST EXCLUSIVE: In response to the shocking headline which appeared over the weekend in a local paper, National Director of Communications from Opposition party PKR Mr. Fahmi Fadzil decries Sarawak's plans to build more dams and says that when the Opposition Alliance comes to power, construction of all dams will be immediately halted – a policy entrenched in the Opposition Manifesto. RFS also gives air-time to supporters of the dams like Jaya Ramba, a Baram resident, who argues to the contrary and says that the dams will be good for the people and will bring much needed development. Activists Mark Bujang and Denis Along pick up on his theme and rebut in detail why these dams will inundate ancestral First Nation lands and ultimately displace and destroy the cultures of the First Nations of Baram and Baleh.
